This year’s campaign is taking place 17th -21st November and aims to raise awareness of pressure ulcer prevention and promote patient-centred care across all health and social care settings.
Putting the Patient Voice First
Pressure ulcers can affect anyone, from newborn babies to people at the end of life, in every type of care environment, including hospitals, care homes, ambulances, hospices, and at home.
This year’s campaign asks a simple but powerful question:
“What matters to me is…”
By focusing on this theme, the Society of Tissue Viability is encouraging both clinicians and patients to reflect on what truly matters at each stage of care.
Throughout the campaign week, a range of events and resources will be available to healthcare professionals and the public.
On Tuesday 18th November, we will be taking part in the Society of Tissue Viability’s Study Day. We will be discussing pressure ulcer prevention and management, and how we can support clinicians in delivering ‘Pathways to Success’ with our Prolevo Pressure Care range.
In support of the campaign, we’ve also created a ‘Stop the Pressure’ resource pack to strengthen education, training, and awareness for teams working across healthcare settings.
